Technische Universitaet Dresden

Technische Universitaet Dresden (TUD) is acting as the legal representative for the Agricultural Engineering and Technologies (AET) MANUFUTURE subplatform.

The TUD has extensive experience in project-co-ordination and project management at national and international level. The TUD was mainly project coordinator and applicant. Above all, a European Project Centre (EPC) has been established at the applicants’ premises to support international project management. The EPC co-ordinated and managed more than 150 projects with a total project volume amounting to 30 Mio Euro granted by the European Commission from 2002 till 2007.

The Agricultural Engineering and Technology (AET) initiative was founded in March 2006 after a European workshop of the sector. Participants were representatives from industry and academia. Mission of the initiative was and is keeping the leadership of the successful European Agricultural Engineering and Technologies (AET) sector through financial support in European research programmes. For this purpose the AET elaborated a vision document 2020, a Strategic Research Agenda and an Implementation Plan, which is revised almost annually. The AET has about 150 stakeholders from research, industry and administration from all European countries.
