The objectives of UNIFARM are:

-    To create a European network of GNSS based innovation initiatives consisting of at least 25 initiatives. Each initiative involves at least 2 different stakeholders (farmers, government, industry, science) and makes an active contribution to the network (i.e. participation in a workshop);

-    To develop tools (best practices, roadmaps, harmonised user cases, user requirements etc.) to be used in advisory and education to improve awareness among the majority of farmers (beyond the ‘early adopters’) about how GNSS technology contributes to their business;

-    To provide feedback to policy makers (both in SPACE and AGRI) at national and European level on the state-of-play and foresights concerning GNSS based innovations in agriculture through a technology white paper and roadmap. This will be presented and discussed in meetings in the member states and in Brussels involving relevant stakeholders (Administration, Parliament, Industry, Science&Education, Lobby groups etc).

UNIFARM is carried out in the context of the Galileo FP7 R&D programme supervised by the GSA (Nr. 287206)
